Michael Vick’s Surprising Take on Bo Nix

Former NFL quarterback Michael Vick expressed his admiration for Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix. Speaking at the Super Bowl, Vick told KOA Radio, “I think Bo Nix is a great quarterback.” He highlighted the benefits of learning under a coach like Sean Payton, stating, “When you’re under a guy like Sean Payton, you’re [going] to get a lot of offensive concepts that just make sense to you. Sean understands the game, knows the game, so he gets to pass that down to a guy like Bo.”

Vick also emphasized Nix’s extensive collegiate experience, noting that he had seen a lot of defenses and understands the game. He praised Nix’s ability to process information and quickly analyze plays, which Vick believes is key to his success.

Nix’s rookie season saw him complete 66.3% of his passes for 3,775 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. He also added 430 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns, and one receiving touchdown. Leading the Broncos to a 10-7 record and a playoff berth in his first year, Nix impressed Vick, who believes the young quarterback has a promising future in the NFL. “As a rookie that made the playoffs, you’ve got a bright future,” Vick concluded.
