“Deny, Defend, Depose”: Message Left on Elon Musk Mural

A mural of Elon Musk in downtown Brownsville, Texas, has been vandalized with the phrase “Deny, Defend, Depose” and an anarchy symbol, according to Border Report. The mural, which reads “Boca Chica to Mars,” is a reference to SpaceX, Musk’s space exploration company that operates from nearby Boca Chica.

The phrase “Deny, Defend, Depose” is notable for its connection to the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, as it was found inscribed on shell casings at the crime scene.

This act of vandalism comes amid growing concerns about Musk’s influence on the federal government. Reports indicate that his “Department of Government Efficiency” has gained access to sensitive records of millions of federal employees, including those in security-sensitive positions at the Treasury and State Departments, according to the Washington Post.

Furthermore, Musk has reportedly claimed the authority to place federal workers on administrative leave, a move that would violate civil service protections. He has also been accused of overstepping executive power by closing down the U.S. Agency for International Development, which is congressionally mandated.
